Mata backs Chelsea to defend CL title with even more 'swagger'
Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata has backed his team to defend their Champions League crown this season with a better style of play after a crucial 4-0 over Danish side Nordsjaelland on Tuesday.
Along with summer recruits Eden Hazard and Oscar, Mata has come to epitomise the new approach that manager Roberto Di Matteo is trying to implement, and the Spain forward believes that Chelsea are a significantly different team this season.
"Last year, we won the Champions League and FA Cup, playing as we played. Now I think we can do it better playing even better with Oscar, Hazard or whoever," the Telegraph quoted Mata, as saying.
"All we can do is try to play our best but that is what we are doing. I want to improve. I feel I can still do better," he added.
