Good day for Indians at China Open
It was a good day for India at the China Open tennis with Sania Mirza and her partner Nuria Llagostera Vives and the men's doubles pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna progressing to the semi-finals and the quarterfinals here Thursday.
Sania and Nuria came from behind to beat Julia Goerges and Barbora Zahlavova Strycova. The Indo-Spanish pair won 4-6, 6-4, 16-14 against the German-Czech pair in one hour and 34 minutes in the quarter-finals.
Bhupathi and Bopanna also qualified for the quarter-finals with a dominating 6-3, 6-0 win over Chinese wild card pair of Mao-Xin Gong and Zhang Ze.
