Sukhbir greets Punjab hockey team for winning national Championship

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today greeted Punjab Hockey team for winning the title of National Hockey Championship.
Giving full credit to the players and coaching staff for this victory, Mr Badal, who is also president of Punjab Hockey, said, it was matter of great pride for our state that the Punjab had clinched both the titles in senior and junior category." He said that the SAD-BJP Government was paying full attention towards the promotion of sports by strengthening the sports infrastructure besides providing world class sports facilities.
He said that the state government had uplifted the standard of hockey by laying six new astroturfs.
It is pertinent to mention here that Punjab had trounced the Air India in the final of National Hockey Championship in senior category while the state had clinched the title in junior category held recently.
Meanwhile, Punjab Hockey Secretary Olympian Pargat Singh, also extended congratulations to the winning team and coaching staff. He said that the both winning teams would be suitable awarded in coming days.
