Union Minister for Agriculture Sharad Pawar will inaugurate the second edition of two-day International conference on Agribusiness and Food Processing-'Food 360', scheduled to be held here from November 5.
The conference, which is jointly organised by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Andhra Pradesh government, will bring together 500 professionals in business of agriculture and food processing as well as academics in India and overseas, Conference Chairperson Mr S Sivakumar said in a press conference here today.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Agriculture Minister Kanna Lakshminarayan will also participate in the conclave. However, in the second edition, special focus has been given to the theme of 'Innovation and Technology' within the domain of Agriculture, Agribusiness and Food processing, he said.
During the second day conclave, four sessions will be held including on the themes of 'Technology for raising farm productivity, Mechanising farm operations, Technology in supply chain management and technology in food processing, Packaging and Marketing, along with the parallel tracks in Horticulture and Dairy, IT in agriculture will receive special coverage, Mr Kumar informed.
In addition to the conference, the second edition of the event will also include exhibition, Food 360 awards, business plan competition, he said, adding the conference would identify the challenges across the food and agriculture value chain and explore innovative solutions leveraging technology.
