Unseen Beatles footage captures band's 'fabulous world'
An unseen Beatles footage from the legendary group's 'Magical Mystery Tour,' which shows them going to a fish and chip shop, has captured the "fabulous world" of the band at the time "perfectly."
The 4 legendary musicians - Sir Paul McCartney, George Harrison, John Lennon and Ringo Star - are seen in behind the scenes of their 1967 film 'Magical Mystery Tour' in the new, never before released video clips, which will be shown on The Space.
The short film takes the audience on a magical coach trip with the English band from the virtual Hotel to Newquay, stopping en-route at a traditional British fish and chip shop.
"Few people have seen Magical Mystery Tour in its entirety and the material in the chip shop has never been shown anywhere," Contactmusic quoted editor of 'Arena', Anthony Wall, as saying.
"It captures perfectly the fabulous world of The Beatles at this time.
"They're happily rubbing shoulders and sharing a simple meal with the other passengers on the coach, and at the same time creating an extraordinarily avant garde film, which of course would soon be broadcast by the BBC to a dumbstruck nation," he said.
