Jaipur, Mar 20 : The Rajasthan Assembly was today adjourned for the day after formalising the day's business--that included passage of budgetary demands for the Urban Planning, State Development, Rural Development and Rural Employment--amid din in the House over purchase of land by Congress President Sonia Gandhi's-son-in-law Robert Vadra.

The issue rocked the House in the Zero Hour when Mr Kailash Bhansali(BJP) was making statement over some land deals in Jaisalmer district and despite restriction from Speaker Deependra Singh Shekhawat he mentioned the name of Mr Vadra that was expunged from the proceeding.

However, the ruling Congress members strongly protested the mention and the ensuing uproar and verbal clashed between the Treasury Benches and Opposition brought the House in pandemonium.

This coupled with dharna-slogan shouting in the well and also a walk out prevailed for more than 40-minutes and sensing the mood of the members the Speaker opted for proceeding with the day's agenda amid din passed the budgetary demands without debate and adjourned the House for the day around 1300 hrs.
