Punjab: 6 cops killed in road accident
Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab, Mar 18 : At least six policemen were killed when the vehicle in which they were travelling collided with a truck at Fatehgarh Sahib district in Punjab on Monday, the police said.
Eleven policemen were injured in the mishap.
According to reports, all the 17 policemen, posted at Khamano Police Station, were going to attend a police parade at police line Mohadian in the district when the mishap occurred.
The injured people were admitted to a government hospital, an official said.
The police have registered a case and started investigating the incident.
Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal has mourned the death of the six cops in the accident.
