Tarun Tahiliani's 'Kumbhack collection' trends in on second day of WIFW
New Delhi, March 15: Fashion Master Tarun Tahiliani splashed the colour of saffron on the second day of wills lifestyle India Fashion Week 2013 with his 'Kumbhack collection' inspired from sadhu wear.
The designer came up with his own interpretation of drapes and wraps as he presented his mysterious take on pious reds, saffron hues and fiery orange.
Speaking at the occasion, Tahiliani said that he has always been inspired by the structure of drapes and so he decided to take it as his theme.
"I went to the Kumbh Mela and the colours and draping style in the simplest way that we are using in India. I have always been inspired by the structure of drapes and we did it in a much more focused way and off course we have used a lot of colours. As I went to the ashram I got so inspired," he said.
The simple attire of Naga sadhus was transformed into sensual drapes, structured kurtis and dresses.
Models walked to the beat of a live drum, wearing rudraksh beads, long braids, and marigold-like hair accessories with dupattas.
