Nagaland Assembly notifies on poll of Assembly Speaker
Kohima Mar 12 : The Nagaland Legislative Assembly has issued a Bulletin (Part-II) for General information of members on Election of Speaker under Rule 7 (1) of the Rules and Procedures and Conduct of Business in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
According to official sources the Nagaland Assembly Secretariat has stated that Thursday, March 14, has been fixed for holding election to the office of the Assembly Speaker for the 12th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, which had fallen vacant due to the resignation of Kiyanilie Peseyie, MLA, from the office of Speaker on March 4, 2013.
The Date of filing Nomination Papers is with immediate effect till 12 noon on March 12; Nomination papers can be obtained from Secretary, Nagaland Legislative Assembly; Nomination papers duly filled in should be submitted to the Secretary, Nagaland Legislative Assembly at his Office Chamber; Date of withdrawal is till 12 noon on March 13; and date of Election, if any, will be held on March 14, sources said.
