SAP honours Indian Public Services Organisations with ACE awards
Kolkata, Mar 12 : SAP today honoured 13 Aces from the Indian Public Services sector with SAP Awards for Customer Excellence (ACE) for being at the forefront in driving excellence and innovation using information technology, while keeping in mind the unique Indian customer's needs, values and ethos.
"We believe that technology can empower citizens, help governments regulate and manage public services as well as develop the economy," said Managing Director, SAP India and Subcontinent Suprakash Chaudhuri.
"The SAP ACE Awards is our tribute to Indian Public Services Companies, state-run organisations and departments who have leveraged the power of technology to deliver game-changing innovations, create better processes and public administrations," he added.
The unprecedented participation for SAP ACE Awards- Public Services 2013 witnessed more than 58 nominations across 12 award categories.
The eminent panel of jury included Dr M Moni, Deputy Director General, National Informatics Centre, Dr M P Jaiswal, Chairperson, Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, Dr Govind, CEO, National Internet Exchange of India, Prem Narayan, Director, JNNURM, Ministry of Urban Development and Ashish Sanyal, former Senior Director, DeitY, Government of India.
"Governments are getting closer to citizens through optimum use of technology. Analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) and mobile are key trends for Public Services in 2013," said Vivek Puthucode, Vice-President, Public Services, SAP Asia Pacific Japan.
