Metro rail wins inter-divisional RPF basketball tournament
Kolkata, Mar 12 : Metro Railway won the Inter-Divisional RPF Basket Ball Tournament held at Metro Railway Basketball Ground, DumDum here today .
In the final, Metro Railway defeated Howrah-I by a sizeable 42-29 points margin.
The Metro Railway RPF Sports Association organised a two-day Inter-Divisional RPF Basketball Tournament from March 11 to 12. Four teams from Howrah-I, Sealdah Divisions of Eastern Railway, CLW/Chittaranjan and Metro Railway, Kolkata participated in the tournament.
General Manager of Metro Railway Radhey Shyam gave away the prizes to the winner and the runners up teams.
In his speech, Mr Radhey Shyam stressed the importance of sports, side by side, with daily official works.
Metro Railway Sports Association President and Chief Electrical Engineer B K Patel and Chief Operations Manager of Metro Railway S K Das were also present during the closing ceremony.
