PCI sub-committee to visit Jharkhand
Ranchi, Mar 12 : A seven member sub-committee of the Press Council of India will arrive on March 14 on a two-day visit to the state.
The sub-committee has been formed under Article 8(1) and 15 of the Press Council of India Act of 1978 after the murder of editor of Mid-Day newspaper J Dey and attacks on mediapersons across different areas of the state.
"On March 14, the sub committee will hold discussions at the Suchana Bhawan with mediapersons and members of various media organisations of the state," a statement issued by the IPRD said.
On March 15, the sub-committee will meet the Principal Secretary (Home), Director General of Police and Secretary/Director IPRD.
