Srinagar, Mar 7 : Curfew continued in the Kashmir Valley for the second consecutive day on Thursday following the killing of a youth allegedly by the Indian Army in Baramulla district this week.

According to reports, curfew remained imposed in eight police station areas of Srinagar city.

Curfew also continued at Sopore, Trehgam and Kulgam towns in the Valley.

A youth named Tahir Ahmed Sofi was allegedly killed in firing by the Army in North Kashmir's Baramulla town while protesting against the hanging of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru and the suicide of a youth in Pulwama district of the state on Tuesday.

The state police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the Army and named a Colonel in it.

The Army, however, denied the accusations.

According to reports, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah broke down in the state legislative assembly on Tuesday evening when People's Democratic Party (PDP) members walked out of the House in protest over the killing of the youth.
