Oz sprinter says found Pistorius 'very introverted'
London, Mar 4 : Australian sprinter and television host Matt Shirvington has claimed he found Paralympic star Oscar Pistorius, who awaits trial charged with the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, very introverted while he interviewed him.
During an interview, when Shirvington was asked was he shocked when he heard that Pistorius had shot his girlfriend, the athlete replied like most people he was stunned and deeply saddened when the news came through, the Age reports.
Shirvington added no matter the outcome, many lives have been destroyed or greatly affected because of this horrific turn of events, adding he didn't knew him socially but had interviewed him on numerous occasions and found him very introverted and shy.
Shirvington said Pistorius is softly spoken and always seemed overly thoughtful with his answers.
Shirvington, who is Australia's second fastest sprinter, added during the 2012 Olympics Pistorius was all over London on TV ad campaigns and billboards endorsing a number of different companies, adding he remembers thinking how unaffected he was by all the attention.
