Govt to reconsider promotion of gurujis: Minister
Bhopal, Feb 26 : Madhya Pradesh School Education Minister Archana Chitnis today informed the Assembly that the state regime will reconsider to promote gurujis -- who failed to pass the B.Ed and D.Ed examinations -- as contractual teachers (class three category).
Raising the issue during the Question Hour, Nishith Patel (Congress) said about 8,000 gurujis were not promoted to contractual teachers after 2008.
Ms Chitnis said since the gurujis failed to obtain their required marks so they were not promoted.
However, the government would reconsider the issue on humanitarian grounds, she assured.
