New Delhi, Feb 22 : Both houses of Parliament were adjourned on the second day of budget session on Friday till noon after uproarious scenes were witnessed over the Hyderabad blasts and Sri Lanka war crimes.
The upper house (Rajya Sabha) witnessed uproar over the Hyderabad blasts of Thursday evening in which 14 people died and 119 were injured. The house was adjourned till noon.
The Lok Sabha or lower house also witnessed uproar over the Sri Lanka war crimes and it was adjourned till noon as well.
Meanwhile, the Anti-Rape ordinance promulgated by the government after the Verma Commission recommendations is scheduled to be tabled in the Budget Session of Parliament on Friday. However, the ordinance still lacks political consensus.
The budget session commenced on Thursday with President Pranab Mukherjee addressing jointly both the Houses at the Central Hall of Parliament.
On the first day, President Pranab Mukherjee in his speech focused on the atrocities on women among other issues.
