Kolkata, Feb 14 : With couples flocking to photo booths, professing love through cyberspace and gifting jewellery to children showering love on grandparents, Valentine's Day Thursday was a varied affair in the city.
At a coffee parlour, Le Coffee Creme, lovers posed in front of an Eiffel Tower cut-out and took photos. They also shared dishes in candle light all throughout the day there.
Besides cards and flowers, couples in the city also gifted one another rings, bangles and necklaces. Jewellery company Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri said their collection was designed to express emotions and love.
For those too shy to express their feelings, the internet came to their rescue with an online contest, Evergreen Romance@Cyberspace, allowing them to pen poems and songs to their beloved.
