e-Governance Gold Award for Madhya Pradesh
Bhopal, Feb 12 : Madhya Pradesh has bagged National e-Governance Gold Award for 'Sparsh Abhiyan' for the uplift of the disabled.
The award was received by Commissioner (Disabled Welfare) VK Batham and National Informatics Centre (NIC) Director Vinayak Rao at Jaipur during the 16th National e-Governance Conference yesterday, an official release said.
Sparsh Abhiyan is a special programme for rehabilitation and empowerment of disabled, aged and destitute persons.
Madhya Pradesh has been given this award in 'Focus Sector' category for this innovative programme of its own kind. The award has been given jointly to Directorate of Social Justice, Madhya Pradesh and NIC, Madhya Pradesh.
