Kolkata, Feb 12 : The Border Security Force on Tuesday said it has seized a huge contingent of Fake Indian Currency Note (FICN) in West Bengal's Malda district.
"BSF South Bengal Frontier has traced and seized huge consignment of FICN which caused a major setback to the FICN Racketeer," the BSF said in a release.
"Late evening on 11th Feb 2013 at about 2000 hrs on specific information, a special ambush party of 125 Bn BSF has seized counterfeit Indian currency from the area of Churiantpur, under Police Station Kaliachak, District - Malda," it said.
The BSF said FICN smugglers threw a plastic packet containing FICN over the border fence towards the Indian side taking the advantage of darkness.
