Sonia Gandhi cancels Tripura visit
Agartala, Feb 10 : Congress President Sonia Gnadhi, who was expected to address two election meetings in Tripura on Sunday, has cancelled the trip due to ill-health, party officials said.
Gandhi, who was scheduled to hold meetings in Agartala and Kumarghat ahead of the Feb 14 elections in the Northeastern state, called off the visit due to ill-health, Tripura Congress chief Luizinho Falerio said.
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi will attend meetings and campaign for the party's candidates on Monday, Falerio said.
Earlier, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh cancelled his visit.
