Delhi on alert after Afzal execution
New Delhi, Feb 9 : A security alert has been sounded in the Indian capital following the hanging of parliament attack convict Afzal Guru, Delhi Police said Saturday.
"An alert has been issued in Delhi and all police stations have been alerted to be prepared for any untoward incident or protests," an official said. "We are ready to tackle any situation."
Afzal Guru, convicted for his role in the 2001 attack, was hanged Saturday morning in Tihar Jail.
