6000 roadways buses to ply at Kumbh on main bathing days

Kumbh Nagar, Allahabad, Feb 4 : A fleet of 6,000 Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) buses would be pressed into service for convenience of visitors at Kumbh mela on the coming prominent bathing days.

UPSRTC Additional General Manager K K Tiwari said today five temporary bus stations have been set-up at Jhunsi, K P College ground, Agricultural institute, Arail and Civil Lines for the convenience of the devotees.

Four thousand buses would ply, while a fleet of 2000 buses would be kept reserved for emergency situations.

The buses would enable worshippers to commute to Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Badlapur, Varanasi, Bhadoi, Agra, Kanpur, Mathura, Farrukahabad, Bareilly at other places.

Besides, arrangements have been made for potable water, waiting rooms, clock rooms and other facilities have also been made at bus stations.
