Eight NDFB militants nabbed in Assam
By Hemanta Kumar Nath, Guwahati, Feb 4 : Eight cadres of anti-talk faction group of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) were apprehended by security forces in Assam's Kamrup (Metro) and Sonitpur district on Sunday evening, police said on Monday.
According to the police, four cadres of the outfit were nabbed at Betkuchi area in Guwahati on Sunday evening.
"Guwahati City Police apprehended the NDFB cadres, who were trying to reach Myanmar via Dimapur for training," said Ranjan Bhuyan, Guwahati City Police SP.
The police have interrogated the militants for more information on the outfit.
In a separate incident, security forces nabbed four NDFB cadres from Bogoribari and Sirajuli areas in Sonitpur district.
Security forces recovered five rounds live ammunition, three mobile hand sets, one motorcycle and letter pad of the outfit from their possession.
