New Delhi, Jan 30 : Delhiites woke up to a misty morning Wednesday with the minimum temperature settling at 6.2 degrees Celsius -- three notches below the season's average. The Met Office has forecast a clear day ahead.
"The sky will be clear during the day. But it is likely to become partly cloudy by the evening. The maximum temperature during the day is expected to be around 22 degrees Celsius," an India Meteorological Department official said.
With a shallow fog enveloping the city, visibility at 8.30 a.m. was about 800 meters, while humidity was 97 percent.
The maximum temperature Tuesday was 23.3 degrees Celsius, two notches above average for this time of the year, while the minimum settled at 6.7 degrees Celsius -- two degrees below normal.
