CPI(M) delegations wants release of youths implicated in terrorism act
Lucknow, Jan 29 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today assured a high level delegation of the CPI(M) led by its General Secretary Prakash Karat to consider sympathetically release of youths implicated in terrorist acts in the state
Mr Yadav, meeting the CPI(M) leaders at his official residence here said the Samajwadi Party in its poll manifesto had also promised to release the youths implicated in terrorist act by the previous government and they would even be paid compensation by the present government
"we are aware about the problem and would take a decision to this effect very soon," he assured the CPI(M) delegation
The CPI(M) delegation which included Mr Karat and Central secretriat member Subhashani Ali, handed over a memorandum to the CM in which they have mentioned the youths implicated in the terrorist act
They said that four youths of Kanpur-- Wasif haider, Shafiquee Rasul, Haji Atiq and Mumtaj Ahmed served jail for 8 to 9 years for terrorist act and thereafter the court announced them innocent
