Varesh Sinha is new Guj Chief Secretary
Gandhinagar, Jan 29 : The Gujarat government has appointed Additional Secretary Varesh Sinha as new Chief Secretary of the state
According to an official statement, Chief Minister Narendra Modi's government has taken the decision last evening
Dr Sinha would replace A K Joti, who retires on January 31
A 1977 batch Indian Administrative Service(IAS) officer, Dr Sinha is currently the Additional Chief Secretary of Finance department. He has held several senior positions in various sectors like tourism, agri-business, energy, education, panchayat, urban, labour, home and finance
He holds a Masters in Mathematical Statistics and PhD in Statistics
