Officer-in-charge of Manikpur police station arrested accepting bribe
Lakhisarai, Jan 29 : Sleuths of Bihar state vigilance bureau today arrested Officer-in-Charge of Manikpur police station Sanjay Kumar Mandal while he was receiving Rs 7,000 as bribe from a complainant of a case at his office in the district
Official sources said here a complainant had informed Bihar state vigilance bureau that Officer-in-Charge of Manikpur police station Sanjay Kumar Mandal was demanding Rs 7,000 as bribe in connection with investigation of a case
'On the basis of information provided by complainant of a case lodged at Manikpur police station, Mr Mandal was caught red handed, while he was accepting Rs 7,000 as bribe at his office', sources said, adding that Mr Mandal would be produced before the special vigilance court after his thorough interrogation in this connection
