Two attempt suicide in Delhi
New Delhi, Jan 29 : In two suicide attempt cases, a property dealer jumped from a flyover here while a woman shot herself with her father's gun, police said Tuesday.
Rajesh Bhatia, 50, a property dealer in west Delhi's Janakpuri, jumped from Tilak Nagar flyover Monday night.
He was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital where his condition is critical, said a police officer. He added that financial crisis might be the reason behind Bhatia's suicide attempt.
In another case, Neha Goyal, the 22-year-old daughter of a property dealer, shot herself with her father's revolver in her west Delhi's Rithala house Monday night.
"She was rushed to B.R. Ambedkar Hospital where her condition is stated to be critical. The reason behind her extreme step is yet to be ascertained," said a police officer.
No suicide notes were recovered from Bhatia and Goyal.
