Police on Sunday seized eight kilos of suspected explosives from a train at Kolkata's Sealdah railway station.
One person, who was carrying the explosives suspected to be ammonium nitrate, was arrested, media reports said.
The man had boarded the train at Lalgola in Murshidabad district and was supposed to deliver it to someone at Baghajatin in south Kolkata, police said.
He was nabbed after the police were tipped off about the explosives.
Police, who are interrogating the man, are yet to ascertain if the man was linked to any terror outfit, reports said.
