ATTF chief arrested in Tripura

Ahead of the assembly poll in Tripura, security forces arrested Ranjit Debbarma, head of isolationist group All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF), on Wednesday, officials said on Thursday.
A top police official of Tripura has confirmed the arrest of Ranjit Debbarma.
"Ranjit Debbarma was arrested by police from Sidhai area along the Tripura-Bangladesh border," the police officer said.
Ranjit Debbarma, son of Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M) leader Krishna Debbarma is also close relative of CPI-M MLA Naresh Jamatia.
