The Vice-Principal of Don Bosco School in Maharashtra's Pune city was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly molesting a student, police said.
The incident took place on Jan 2 at the school located in Pune's Yerawada area.
Vice-Principal Iju Francis Falkau was produced in a local court on Tuesday where he was remanded to three-day police custody.
"The girl, who stays with her widow mother, said in her complaint to the police that she could not garner courage to lodge a case. However, her uncle's help finally led to an FIR against the vice principal on Monday," India Today reported.
Four more girls on Tuesday alleged that the Vice-Principal physically abused them.
"Meanwhile, four more girls came forward on Tuesday complaining about misbehaviour by the vice principal. They alleged that they were physically abused by the teacher. They claimed that they had also witnessed the complainant girl coming out of vice principal's office running and shouting," India Today reported.
