1 Gujarat student killed as car rams into them
Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 21 (UNI)
One person was killed and four others were injured when a car ran into a group of students from Gujarat last night.
Police said the car, which was coming towards Kazhakootam, sped away after the incident which occurred at 2230 hrs.
The students, representing Sourashtra University, were here to attend the National Inter Collegiate Cycling Championship at LNCPE at Kariavatoom here.
The deceased was identified as Vijay (20), hailing from Jamnagar in Gujarat.
The injured--Solanki (20), Bhoomika (21), Preetham (20) and Sooraj (48) all hailing from Gujarat, were admitted to the Medical College Hospital here.
The incident occurred when they were walking back to their room after having food at Kazhakootam.
