BJP protest against Shinde's controversial statement

The city unit of BJP today demonstrated against Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde's controversial statement against the party and the RSS in Congress Chintan Shivir at Jaipur.

Mr Shinde yesterday accused the BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of conducting terror training camps and promoting Hindu terror, setting off an angry reaction from saffron leaders who demanded apology from Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.

As a part of protest, the BJP city unit chief Basvraj Magrule along with senior party leaders Haribhau Bagade, Atul Save, former MLC Srikant Joshi and party activists, Mahila Agadi including corporators and office-bearers gathered at Kranti chowk and held demonsatrations against Mr Shinde's statement against their party.

They demanded Mr Shinde's resignation as Home minister of the country. They also raised slogans against the UPA-led government.
