More than 10,000 vehicles are stranded in Himachal Pradesh as most of the roads across the state are closed due to heavy snowfall, reports said on Monday.
According to reports, around 185 roads, apart from national highways, are blocked in the state.
Heavy snowfall has disrupted normal life in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh with the national highway in the region been blocked, causing inconvenience to residents and tourists.
Power and water supply have been badly affected due to heavy rainfall in Kullu, reports said.
Heavy snowfall has also blocked the highway connecting New Delhi and Punjab with Manali hill station.
"Tourists heading for Manali to enjoy snow were forced to walk from Patlikuhl, some 20km before Manali, as Kullu-Manali highway is still closed, a government official said," The Times of India reported.
