Actor playing bin laden in Zero Dark Thirty lifts lid on role
Actor Ricky Sekhon who has played the role of Osama Bin Laden in Zero Dark Thirty has spoken out about his role in the controversial film.
The film - just nominated for five Oscars, including best film - is about the ten-year hunt for the Al Qaeda leader and his death - my death - at the hands of the US Navy SEALs.
Sekhon said that he was not sure if he could pull it off. He didn't have an agent looking after him or a team around him to help prepare for the part.
He said that he hadn't seen the script. And he was definitely not 'Bin Laden skinny', the Daily Mail reports.
He said that his journey to become bin Laden started last March, when he received a call from a casting director who said she had been trying to get hold of him for a week.
After he visited the director, Sekhon was offered the part of the world's most notorious terrorist.
He said that he is a 29-year-old native Londoner, a moderate Sikh with a drama degree from Royal Holloway, University of London.
He said that he looked a bit like bin Laden with a brown skin and a prominent nose, the report added.
