Congress 'Chintan Shivir' begins today
The two-day 'Chintan Shivir' of the Congress party is scheduled to begin here on Friday.
Top party leaders are in town for the event and they are expected to brainstorm on strategies for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
Reports said the party will also decide on whether to go for coalitions or give it a go on its own in various states.
The Congress is looking to involve younger people and 120 of the 350 people attending the Shivir are members of bodies such as Youth Congress and the National Students Union of India, said reports.
The two-day event will begin with an opening speech by Congress president Sonia Gandhi and will end on January 20 with the adoption of the Jaipur Declaration.
A session of the All India Congress Committee will be held on Sunday.
