Following the death of Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray in November, his son and party working president Uddhav Thackeray will begin his political tour of Maharashtra with addressing first public rally in Jalna on February three.
To make the rally a success, the Sena today held a division-level convention comprising eight districts of Marathwada here, which was attended by the office-bearers and MPs, MLAs, MLCs and local bodies people's representatives from across the region.
Among the Sena leaders present at the convention were Subhash Desai, Anil Desai, Ravindra Mirlekar and Vishvantah Nerurkar.
After the death of Sena chief Bal Thackeray, Uddhav had visited several places in the state and met with party workers as a family member.
During his Aurangabad visit earlier on December 16, 2012, he had announced that he will start his political tour of the state from Marathwada with a public rally.
