Accusing the Congress-led UPA at the Centre of being steeped in corruption, BJP 'Poster boy' and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today said the Central government would be voted out in the ensuing Lok Sabha polls.
Addressing the BJP workers at the airport on his arrival here from Gujarat to participate in a private wedding function, Mr Modi charged the ruling Congress-led UPA at the Centre of corruption and not delivering on developmental agenda.
"The people of the country are dejected with the UPA and will vote it out in the ensuing Parliamentary Polls", he added.
Observing that people of Gujarat had voted for him in the recent Assembly Polls as he had delivered on the development agenda, he said if he had failed on this account his government would have been shown the door by the people.
Mr Modi said he had been re-elected for his development initiatives as it matters most for the common man now.
"I can proudly say that the BJP has been working for the developement of Gujarat and the people of the state have, therefore, been giving us successive mandates,", he added.
