South City Mall celebrates 5th anniversary
'South City Mall', touted as the largest shopping mall in Eastern India, on Wednesday celebrated its fifth anniversary year with 30 kids from non-governmental organisation (NGO), Child In Need Institute (CINI) ASHA here.
CINI Asha works to bring children abandoned on the streets, slum dwellers, children of sex workers and child labourers into school and to provide jobs for these children after graduating from school.
The mall premises were delightfully adorned in accordance with the mood.
Beside a special cake cutting session, the little kids were treated to an exclusive fun time at Timezone where a dedicated zone was arranged for them to play various games.
Adding on to their delight was a delectable treat which they savored. Following that, an array of enjoyable games and exciting goodie bags were received by the children.
Vice President, South City Projects, Manmohan Bagree said, "South City Mall is considered as a landmark destination today. It has redefined the concept of shopping as an experience moving beyond the traditional approach of retailing. The commingling of national and international brands all under the same roof provides the modern day customer with a surfeit of options."
South City Mall has been ranked as the 6th largest mall in India as per ASIPAC study of March 2010. --IBNS
