Six people arrested for allegedly raping a woman on a bus in Punjab's Gurdaspur district were sent to three-day police custody on Sunday.
Police are still looking for one more accused who is aid to be absconding.
The 29-year-old victim, who is married, was heading to her husband's house in Gurdaspur on Friday, when the incident happened.
She was on a bus along with two of the accused. The driver did not stop the bus at her stop, but went on to a secluded spot where the others joined them and she was raped through the night.
"I was travelling by a bus when some people took me to an isolated place. They threatened me with a sharp edged weapon and did wrong things with me. They kept me confined all through the night and forced me to do what they wanted," reports quoted the victim as saying.
The bus driver and the conductor are also among those arrested.
