A man from Coventry, is one of UK's unluckiest patients, as till now he has had six hip swaps, a broken wrist, two broken knees, a heart attack, two haemorrhages, kidney failure and nearly lost a leg to infection.
Terry Butler, who has spent 15 months of his life in hospital, has a medical condition that causes the top of his thigh bone to break, the Mirror reported.
Butler had been pain free since his last hip swap in 2006 and last month, he even went to University Hospital, Coventry, to thank staff.
But days later he was back in surgery after he slipped in the shower and smashed his knee.
Now he is waiting to see if his joint heals or if he will be need another operation.
He said that the nurses called him an inspiration but he just thought of himself as an unfortunate person.
