Security forces apprehended two hardcore cadres of anti-talk faction group of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) in Assam's Sonitpur district on Friday, police said on Saturday.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of police and army launched a search operation at Gohpur and nabbed the militants, who were hiding in the area.
The nabbed militants were identified as Pinku Goyari and Narbu Lama.
Security forces recovered two Chinese made hand grenades and one 7.65 pistol from their possession.
I K Songbijit led NDFB is active in northern part of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
Recently, the bodo militant group killed a tea trader in the district.
