Kolkata experienced unusually low temperatures on Wednesday when the highest temperature of the day did not exceed 20 degrees Celsius.
According to reports, this was the coldest day in the city in over 100 years.
On Wednesday, the City of Joy experienced a lowest temperature of 9 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of the day was 19.6 degrees.
The met department has predicted a clear sky in the city on Thursday. The maximum temperature of the day is expected to be around 21 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature on Thursday was 9.6 degrees, six degrees below normal.
