Cold kills 40 in north and east India
More than 40 people have died of cold in north and eastern India, said reports.
In Delhi, the meteorological department has predicted a clear sky, with mist or fog in the morning, on Friday. The lowest temperature this weekend is expected to be around 8 degrees Celsius.
The fog is likely to affect flight and trans schedules.
The temperature dipped below 4 degrees Celsius in many parts of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday that killed at least 30 people, said reports.
Deaths related to the cold were also reported from Bihar and Punjab.
