Indian student attacked in Bonn
An Indian student here has claimed that he was assaulted by two Islamic extremists on Christmas Eve, reports said.
The alleged victim said two persons approached him on the road and asked him what his religion was before demanding that he convert to Islam. When he tried to walk away, they attacked him from behind and slashed his tongue.
Police believe his story to be credible, said German news magazine Der Spiegel.
A passerby noticed the bleeding victim, who is 24-year-old university student, and called an ambulance.
He was released after being treated at a local hospital.
