A Delhi court on Thursday extended the judicial custody of former chairman of Uttarakhand Minorities Commission Sukhdev Singh Namdhari till Jan 10 in connection to the shootout that killed liquor baron Ponty Chadha and his brother Hardeep.
The court also extended the judicial custody of nine others, including Namdhari's Personal Security Officer (PSO) Sachin Tyagi, till Jan 10.
All the accused, arrested for their alleged roles in the shootout, were produced before the court from Tihar Jail through video conferencing.
The police told the court the accused were not physically produced before it owing to security reasons.
The Delhi Police on Nov 23 arrested Namdhari after questioning him at his farmhouse at Bazpur city in Uttarakhand.
Namdhari has been booked for the murder of Hardeep under Section 302 of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Ponty and his brother Hardeep were killed in a shootout between their groups inside their farmhouse at Chattarpur in south Delhi on Nov 17.
Ponty's business empire is worth Rs 6000 crore.
