North India: Severe cold kills 4 in 24 hours

At least four people have been killed by severe cold in North India in the past 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.

As many as three people have died in Uttar Pradesh while a person was killed by severe cold in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab, reports said.

In national capital New Delhi, the minimum temperature touched 9.2 degrees celsius.

Cold weather condition also hit rail-traffic; at least 150 trains were reportedly delayed in New Delhi.

17 trains were cancelled in the national capital, reports said.
