Karur Vysya Bank opens 13th branch in Mumbai
Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) inaugurated its 13th branch in city at Ghatkopar at the hands of Dr Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, founding partner of Rare Enterprises, today.
Located at Universal School Building, near Vikrant circle, the branch provides a range of banking services including retail and corporate deposits, loans among others.
The branch, equipped with locker facility, will be the the 24th in Maharashtra and 500th in the country.
Speaking on the occasion, K Venkataraman, managing director and chief executive of KVB, informed reporters that the bank has set a target of achieving total business of Rs 72,000 crore in the current fiscal from the present Rs 61,500 crore.
The bank aims to achieve a total business of Rs 1,25,000 crore by 2016, its centenary year. The bank will add 14 more branches across five states and one Union Territory along with 100 ATMs across the country. Two more branches will be inaugurated shortly at Goregaon and Malad in north Mumbai and yet another branch at Amravati.
Founded in the year 1916 in Karur, Tamil Nadu, Karur Vysya Bank has a pan India presence and is presently having branches in 19 states across the country.
