Cold wave grips north India, 7 killed in UP
At least seven people were killed in the past 24 hours in different parts of Uttar Pradesh as cold wave swept through the north Indian state, officials said on Wednesday.
Cold weather conditions affected normal life in other north Indian states including Punjab and Haryana.
In national capital New Delhi, the minimum temperature touched 7.8 degrees Celsius.
Cold weather condition also hit rail-traffic; at least 150 trains reportedly ran late across north India.
At least 22 trains were cancelled, reports said.
