Nigerian caught in Goa with drugs worth Rs 4.50 lakh
A Nigerian national, who was recently bailed out in a drug peddling case, was once again caught with huge quantity of drugs from the north Goa's coastal belt Monday afternoon. Anthony Chike, 32, was caught red-handed with a bag in which about 3 kgs of charas was concealed for his prospective customer.
According to a press statement issued by the anti narcotics cell, the amount of the seized quantity is Rs 4.50 lakh in the international market.
"He was found with illegal possession of drugs near Helipad Junction Road at Candolim," the press note read as.
Just a couple of weeks back, the Calangute police had arrested him with cocktail of drugs in his possession. The NDPS Court had subsequently granted him bail.
Nearly 10 Nigerians have been arrested by different police stations during the last one month, who are either involved in drug peddling, overstaying or brawl incidents.
